Knives

Knives displayed on stands must be encapsulated in protective packaging or kept in enclosed cabinets, so that blades cannot be touched by the public. It is recommended that exhibitors request photographic identification from customers appearing to be under 21, in order to ensure compliance with minimum age legal requirements. Where knives are used in demonstrations, they must be kept out of reach of the public. Exhibitors with knives on their stand need to complete and return a risk assessment.
